Old Vail Fitness

First and foremost I am a wife and mother.  I have been a stay at home mom, a working mom and a single mom. I can relate to all different kinds of women. I know what is like to barely have time to take a shower, much less get in a workout.  I know what women are going through, and struggling with because I have been there myself.
I have been active my whole life. I have been around group fitness since the age of ten.  I have learned fitness from many different types of instructors. I have tried just about every fitness style out there.  I have found that functional fitness is what works best for my life. I rarely use machines in a gym (only when I travel).  You need very little equipment to stay fit.  Functional fitness is based in strengthening your body to do activities in your daily life. It is not about looking like a fitness model. Functional fitness is about strength, health and feeling great. Looking great is just an added bonus.
I am here to support people that want to make positive changes in their life. I know it take a lot of dedication and courage just to attend group fitness. I am everyone’s biggest cheerleader. I get so excited when I see someone lifting heavier, squatting lower, running faster etc. I always praise hard work!  I push people to do their best.
Everyone has different strengths, weaknesses, and intensity levels. I teach at everyone’s level. For each exercise I instruct I will show the class how to make the exercise more intense or how to make the exercise less intense. I will often offer an alternative exercise. How intense a person wants to make the class is up to each individual. All fitness levels can get a good workout in my class.
